As the image itself out, isolated from the urban context, the Duomo l appears as a "fortress of God": a monumental volume closed in its own rigid blocks. The alternation of large windows and the great rose window in the facade do not diminish, however, the first impression of "sullen" close, almost isolated from the surrounding space. The apse, perhaps the most charming and slender vertically to infinity, it seems, finally, merge the plasticity rude Romanesque architectural style with the elegant and aristocratic rhythm "linearistico" of Gothic architecture.'s Cathedral rises Montebelluna at a time of profound artistic and, until not long ago, could be judged on aesthetic, rather sternly.
Today, after the proposed post-modern architecture, we look at the Cathedral of Montebelluna with different eyes than those of the past, while not fully appreciating some stylistic solutions, often missing because of that organization or structure of that "truth" internal features of certain religious buildings neogothic. The basic elements that characterize the external space, s ono the apse and the façade, which harmonizes with sensitive adhesion to the interior space. Indeed, it is divided vertically into three zones corresponding to the three-nave interior.
